No. There is no fee, no deposit, and no payment method collected. If a page ever asks you to pay to join a Wave interest list, it is not from Wave.
Is this an application?
No. The interest list collects contact details and the type of work you are interested in. It does not collect documents, driving history, background-check authorization, or payment, and it is not reviewed or scored as an application.
Does joining earlier get me a better position?
No. There is no queue, no position number, no priority, and no reserved or locked-in rate. If certification opens here, everyone applies on the same published terms.
Is Wave operating in New York City now?
No. Wave does not operate in New York City today and is not accepting NYC certification applications. Any New York City operation would be subject to the applicable New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission requirements, and Wave makes no representation that those requirements are met today.
Does this guarantee work if Wave launches here?
No. Membership is credentialing and network access, not employment, and it does not create an independent-contractor relationship with Wave. Joining the interest list is not an offer of work and does not guarantee rides, routes, hours, leads, or income.
What will you do with my information?
Wave uses it to contact you about New York City availability. You can ask to be removed at any time, and if you opt in to text messages you can stop them by replying STOP.
